Roll Call

Mobile appAttendanceSafety

Installing this app gives your Admins and Fire Marshalls a live view of who's in, who's out, and who's on leave, all in one screen, pulled straight from Sense. When the alarm goes, nobody's shouting names off a printed list: whoever's running the evacuation can open Roll Call and account for everyone in seconds.

How it works

Set who can start a roll call then let Sense do the counting

  1. To use Roll Call, simply decide who should have access, Admins by default, plus any employees you want set up as Fire Marshalls.

  2. Then, whenever someone opens the app, most often the moment the fire alarm sounds, Sense will automatically pull in everyone's live status: clocked in, clocked out, on leave, or unknown.

  3. If someone hasn't been accounted for yet, then they'll keep showing as outstanding until they're checked off the list.

  4. It works just as well for a daily register or a multi-site headcount as it does for an evacuation.

Common questions

What starts a roll call?

An Admin or a designated Fire Marshall opening the app; it isn't automatic. In practice, that's almost always the moment the alarm sounds, but it works just as well for a routine register or spot check.

Who can use it?

Any Admin, by default. Employees can also get access as a Fire Marshall, set up as a custom "Is Fire Marshall?" field on their Job Details screen, via Screen Designer.

What does it actually show?

Clock-in/out status, time-off events like holiday or leave, names, locations, and the most recent clock time for each person.

Can we change how it's grouped?

Yes: three display modes. A single combined list (ordered by status), a location-based view, or a custom view grouped by any dropdown field from Job Details (department, role, site, etc.).
