HR hardware, built by Sense.

The only UK HR system that builds its own location intelligence hardware. Clocks for time, Badges and Tags for presence, Gateways that knit it all together. Native to Sense HR — not bolted on.

Sense HR hardware — Sense Clock, Anviz biometric clocks and Sense Badge

Clocking hardware

Card, fingerprint, face recognition. Mount one or all at any site — staff clock in, hours flow to Sense HR and to payroll. Sense's own Sense Clock plus Anviz partner devices for biometric options.

Sense Clock

Sense's own wall-mounted clock. Staff tap a card or fob at the gate, time is captured by the Sense Clock Transaction Service and flows into Sense HR. Built for high-volume entry points.

Sense own brand

Anviz FacePass / FaceDeep

Touchless face-recognition clocking via the Anviz device range. Stops buddy-punching dead. Ideal for healthcare, labs and care settings where hygiene and accuracy both matter.

Anviz partner hardware

Anviz C2 Pro

Biometric fingerprint clocking on the Anviz C2 Pro. Eliminates buddy-punching where face ID isn't the right answer. Common across manufacturing and warehouse settings.

Sense Presence — location intelligence

Real-time presence detection across every site. Gateways power the map; Tags and Badges sit on people and assets. Fire roll-call, lone worker safety, indoor zone tracking — all on the same platform.

Sense Gateway

The physical mesh that powers presence mapping. Mounted at the workplace, installed by the Sense installation team, plug-and-power. Each Gateway powers an area; sites have multiple.

Infrastructure

Presence Hub

The admin interface that brings it all together. Assign Tags to wearers, configure zones, set alert rules, view live presence maps and pull fire roll-call exports on demand.

Admin software

Sense Tag

A small, lower-cost location tag. Issued per wearer in the Presence Hub. Works for office staff, visitors and contractors who don't need a full Badge but should be on the presence map.

Lightweight tag

Wearables for frontline and lone workers

Where safety matters and a phone isn't the right device. The Sense Badge is purpose-built for the work, with safety apps that run on the device itself.

Sense Badge

A wearable device for the workers who keep things running. PIN + fingerprint login per wearer. Three apps built in — not on a separate phone, on the Badge itself.

Sense own brand

Lone worker safety

For carers visiting homes, engineers on remote sites, security teams on patrol — the Sense Badge Lone Worker app prompts check-ins on a schedule. Miss one and the alert escalates automatically.

Field, care, after-hours

SOS emergencies

Press the SOS button on the Sense Badge and an instant alert goes to nominated supervisors and emergency contacts — with location data attached. Designed for the moments your team needs help fast.

The seconds that matter most

No other UK HR system does this.

Software is one half of running a workforce. Hardware is the other half. Sense is the only UK HR platform that builds both — with one platform, one support team, one bill.

One platform end-to-end

Clock event, presence, payroll, payslip, HR record — one platform across the lot. No vendor stack to integrate, no support ping-pong when something breaks.

UK-built, UK-supported

The hardware is designed and supported from the UK by people who actually use it. Anviz partner devices integrate via Sense's own Clock Transaction Service.

Native to Sense HR

Hardware doesn't sit on the side as an add-on. Time, location and presence data feed directly into Sense HR, payroll connectors and AMI — without integration work.

Common questions about the hardware.

Is hardware included in Sense HR pricing?+
The software side — T&A, Presence Hub, integration into Sense HR — is included with Elite. The hardware itself (Sense Clocks, Anviz clocks, Badges, Tags, Gateways) is priced separately and quoted to your sites and volume. We'll scope and quote on a demo call.
How does Sense Clock differ from the Anviz clocks?+
Sense Clock is Sense's own wall-mounted device, using NFC cards or fobs — the most cost-effective option for high-traffic entry points. Anviz devices (FacePass / FaceDeep for face, C2 Pro for fingerprint) handle biometric clocking where buddy-punching needs to be stopped. All connect to Sense HR via the Sense Clock Transaction Service.
What's the difference between a Sense Badge and a Sense Tag?+
The Sense Badge is a full wearable with three built-in apps — Lone Worker, SOS and To Do — and PIN + fingerprint login per wearer. The Sense Tag is smaller and lighter, just for presence/location with no on-device apps. Badges fit frontline and safety-critical roles. Tags fit office staff, visitors and contractors.
What does the Sense Clock Transaction Service do?+
It's the software backbone that connects every clock device — Sense Clock, Anviz devices, mobile app clock-in — into Sense HR. Every clock event flows through it. Recently upgraded to version 4.0, which replaces the legacy ClockTransactionsTransmitter.
How long does it take to install Gateways at a site?+
A single-site Gateway install is typically a half-day, done by the Sense installation team. Multi-site rollouts run in waves — commonly 1–2 sites per week. Once mounted, Gateways are plug-and-power.
Can I mix Sense Clock and Anviz devices at the same site?+
Yes. Most multi-site customers do exactly this — Sense Clock at high-traffic entry points, Anviz FacePass or C2 Pro at controlled-access doors where biometric authentication matters. All routed through the same Sense Clock Transactions Service.
How does the Sense Badge Lone Worker app actually work?+
The Badge prompts the wearer to check in on a configurable schedule (every 30 mins, every hour — depends on the role). A missed check-in triggers a multi-step escalation — first a reminder, then a supervisor alert, then HR. Combined with the SOS app, it's a robust safety net for people working away from colleagues.
Is the location and presence data GDPR-compliant?+
Yes. Sense HR is ISO 27001 accredited and fully UK GDPR compliant. Location/presence data is treated to the same standard as HR records — closed environment, never used for AI training, configurable retention.
