Onboarding Workflow (Employee Profile Tasks)

OnboardingProfile

Installing this workflow tells Sense to prompt every new starter to complete their own profile information as soon as they log in for the first time. Personal details, bank details, and emergency contacts all get picked up as tasks on their dashboard, running alongside your existing onboarding process rather than replacing it.

How it works

Add the new starter then let Sense prompt them to complete their profile

  1. To use the Onboarding Workflow (Employee Profile Tasks), simply add the new starter's record to Sense as normal.

  2. Then, once they log in to their dashboard for the first time, Sense will automatically surface tasks asking them to fill in their personal details, bank details, and emergency contacts.

  3. If a task is completed, then it disappears from their Dashboard and Todo list, and this runs alongside the Standard Onboarding Workflow without needing you to switch anything off.

Common questions

What kicks this workflow off?

A new starter being added to Sense. The profile tasks stay hidden until that employee logs in and opens their dashboard for the first time.

What information does it ask the new starter for?

Their personal details, bank details, and emergency contacts, each shown as its own task.

Where do new starters see these tasks?

On their Dashboard and in their Todo list, until each one is completed.

Does this replace our existing onboarding workflow?

No. It runs in parallel with the Standard Onboarding Workflow, so you don't need to turn anything off to use it.

Is there anything that can stop the tasks from sending?

Yes. The workflow relies on specific screen names to identify where profile data belongs, so renaming those screens will stop the tasks from sending correctly.
