Timesheet Request Workflow

TimesheetsApprovals

Installing this workflow tells Sense to take every timesheet entry straight from an employee's profile to their manager for approval, keeping hours worked reportable for payroll without any manual chasing. Built for organisations that want managers, not employees, to have the final say on logged hours.

How it works

Set your Timesheet Hours screen then let Sense route entries for approval

  1. To use the Timesheet Request Workflow, simply deploy it from the Workflow Hub, which adds a "Timesheet Hours" screen to each employee's profile (rename, remove, or adjust any existing screen with that name first, and give employees "Add" permissions only).

  2. Then, every time an employee adds a new timesheet record with a start time, end time and total hours worked, Sense will automatically send it to their line manager as an email and a to-do to review.

  3. If the manager approves or declines it, then the employee receives a confirmation email, and the entry becomes reportable for payroll and record-keeping.
