Custom Screen Approval (Admin Authorisation)
Installing this workflow tells Sense to send every new record an employee submits on a custom table screen straight to your HR admins for a single-stage decision. There's no manager step in this variant: admins alone review each submission and mark it approved or declined, and the employee is the one who's told the outcome.
How it works
Build your Admin Authorisation screen then let Sense route every submission to HR
To use the Custom Screen Approval (Admin Authorisation) workflow, simply build a table screen with the three required fields, Date of Request, HR Authorisation, and Authorisation Comments, and set up an "Authorisation" variant where the HR Authorisation field is editable and required for admins.
Then, every time an employee submits a new record on that screen, Sense will automatically create a Todo for HR admins with an email and an in-app task.
If an admin marks the record approved or declined, then the employee gets an email confirming the outcome straight away.

What kicks this workflow off?
An employee submitting a new record on a custom table screen you've built for this purpose, for example a purchase request or equipment sign-off screen.
Who approves the request?
HR admins only. There's no manager stage: any admin with access to the screen can mark the record approved or declined using the HR Authorisation field.
What fields does the screen need?
Three case sensitive fields: "Date of Request" (date picker), "HR Authorisation" (approve/decline radio buttons), and "Authorisation Comments" (paragraph or rich text), plus an "Authorisation" variant with the HR Authorisation field set to edit and required.
What happens once an admin makes a decision?
The employee receives an email confirming whether the record was approved or declined, along with any comments the admin added.
Does this need Screen Designer?
Yes. The workflow runs on a custom table screen you build and configure using Sense's Screen Designer.
