Microsoft SSO Invitation Workflow

JoinersSSO

Installing this workflow tells Sense to send employees a Microsoft SSO invitation so they can sign in with their work Microsoft account instead of a separate password. Once it's installed and deployed, admins can invite people one at a time from their profile or in bulk from HR > People.

How it works

Install and deploy the Microsoft SSO workflow then let Sense send sign-in invitations

  1. To use the Microsoft SSO Invitation Workflow, simply install it from the Workflow Hub and deploy it from Installations so its status changes from Undeployed to Deployed, then we recommend sending the first invite to one test user so your IT or Microsoft Entra administrator can approve the Sense SSO app before you roll it out further.

  2. Then, every time you invite an employee, either individually from their profile or in bulk from HR > People, Sense will automatically send them an SSO invitation email with a link to connect their account.

  3. If their Sense login email matches their work Microsoft email, then they can complete the connection and sign in with their Microsoft credentials from then on.

Common questions

What kicks this workflow off?

An admin sending an SSO invitation to an employee, either individually from their profile or in bulk from HR > People.

What happens once it fires?

The employee receives an SSO invitation email from Sense with a link to connect their work Microsoft account.

Who gets notified?

The invited employee, by email, each time an invitation is sent.

Does this need IT approval first?

Often, yes. Some organisations require an IT or Microsoft Entra administrator to approve the Sense SSO app before employees can sign in, which is why we recommend testing with one user first.

What does the employee need for this to work?

Their Sense login email needs to match their work Microsoft email account, and they need to sign in using that work Microsoft account.
