Is Sense Presence included in Sense HR pricing, or separate?+
The software side (Presence Hub, integration into Sense HR, the live map) is included with Elite. The hardware (Badges, Tags, Gateways) is a separate quote — sized to your sites, staff and use-case. We'll scope and quote on the demo call.
What's the difference between a Sense Badge and a Sense Tag?+
The Badge is a full wearable with three built-in apps (Lone Worker, SOS, To Do) and PIN + fingerprint login. Best for frontline workers, lone workers, and roles where safety matters most. The Tag is smaller and lighter, with just location/presence — ideal for office staff, visitors and contractors.
How does the Sense Badge Lone Worker app actually work?+
A wearer working alone is prompted to check in at regular intervals (configurable per role). A missed check-in escalates through a chain — first a reminder, then a supervisor notification, then escalation rules you've defined. Combined with the SOS app it's a fast safety net for people who work away from colleagues.
Does Sense Presence work outdoors, or only inside buildings?+
Gateways enable indoor presence and zone detection. For outdoor or away-from-site work (carers visiting homes, engineers on the road), the mobile app with GPS / geofencing provides equivalent location verification.
How quickly can a site be set up?+
Installation is handled by the Sense installation team. A single-site install is typically a half-day; multi-site rollouts run in waves, often 1–2 sites per week. Gateways are plug-and-power once positioned.
Can we issue Sense Tags to visitors and contractors?+
Yes. The Presence Hub supports temporary wearer assignment, so a Tag can be issued at reception for the day and re-assigned afterwards. That puts visitors on the same presence map — useful for evacuation, compliance and billing.
How does Sense Presence differ from geofenced mobile clock-in?+
They're complementary. Geofenced clock-in uses the staff member's phone GPS — great for community / field workers. Sense Presence uses dedicated hardware in the building — more accurate, harder to spoof, and works for people who don't carry a phone (Badge is the device). Customers commonly use both.
Is the data GDPR-compliant given the location tracking?+
Yes. Sense Presence is designed for UK GDPR compliance. Customers configure what's tracked, who can see what, and retention. Location data is treated with the same controls as the rest of Sense HR data — ISO 27001 accredited, closed environment, never used for AI training.
